The Sydney leg started a little slow, but really ended up being a fantastic time. I met people from Australia (obviously), Germany, Belgium, Poland, Canada, Sweden, Holland, France, Hungary, New Zealand, Finland, and the US (a chick from Ohio and a guy from NYC). I loved hearing the different accents and experiencing the diversity (something Texas sorely lacks). All in all, I'm really gonna miss Sydney. Just when I feel like I figured out how to get around, and got into my rhythm -- wake up around noon, workout, grab brekkie, hit the beach for a swim and a nap, get dinner, hit the clubs -- it was time to go. Alas, I made one pretty good friend, and this makes me want to head to Berlin.
One final note before Bangkok -- I tried Vegemite, and it's the worst "food product" I have ever experienced in my life. It's some sort of Australia diet staple and it tastes like salted disgustingness. I won't miss Vegemite. I hope you die, Vegemite.
[This was the jogging path I used -- not bad scenery ;)]
See ya Sydney! Next stop -- Bangkok via Hong Kong.
